Benromach Distillery i Speyside firar både 120 år som destilleri i år och 20 år sedan det kom ur malpåse efter att Gordon & MacPhail återöppnade det 1998.
För att fira det senare presenterade de idag en 20 års jubileumsbuteljering. Den är destillerad och lagd på fat 1998 och håller en alkoholstyrka på 56,2%.
Buteljen levereras i en stilig trälåda med koppardetaljer som ska påminna om destilleriets kopparpannor. Benromachs Distillery Manager Keith Cruickshank, som började på destilleriet 1998, kommenterade buteljeringen så här:
“When we began distilling again in 1998, we wanted to recreate the unique Speyside whisky taste which historically had a touch of smoke. The 20th Anniversary Bottling uses the finest ingredients to create a gorgeous whisky that has exceptional depth and smoothness. “This new expression gives Benromach lovers around the world the chance to own and taste a moment in time from the distillery’s rich history. Part of the Benromach classic range of single malts, this is a rare and exceptional whisky and a fitting dram to unite Benromach consumers globally to celebrate our 20th anniversary year.”
Det kommer att släppas totalt 3.000 flaskor, och finns hos whiskybutiker runt om i Europa. Riktpriset är £299.
