The Benromach Company, ägarna till Benromach Distillery, har påbörjat arbetet med att bygga om sitt gamla maltförråd till ett nytt Gindestilleri! ’Red Door Gin’, är namnet som den nya ginen kommer att få och namnet är hämtat från de karakteristiska röda dörrarna på destilleriet.
Red Door Gin kommer bli tillverkad för hand på plats i Forres. Stilen kommer vara en London Gin tillverkad med de finaste enbären och kryddad med lokala växter och kryddor. The Benromach Company investerar en sexsiffrig summa i detta projekt. Förutom det nya destilleriet så byggs också ett besökscentra.
Ewen Mackintosh, Benromach’s Managing Director, förklarar:
“Announcing our intention to distil gin is part of our long-term plan to grow our business beyond whisky into new spirit categories. “We have been closely monitoring the success of the gin market for several years and, with growth predicted to continue, we feel confident that we can bring a unique and exciting new product to spirits drinkers eager for a brand with heritage and authenticity.
